"You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word."
In this verse of the Bible, it talks about God and tells us that when we are on earth, God keeps us safe and when we die; we will have a safe place to go. That is what it means when it says, "you are my refuge." When it says, "you are my shield", it talks about how he protects us in many ways. The last line is my favorite, saying,"I put my hope in your word", meaning we believe in him and the Bible.
Prayer: Thank you, God, that you protect us. Thank you for the Bible, which is your word. The Bible tells us there is hopeinyou. Thank you for giving us hope. Amen.
